In a wide-ranging discussion, the Board then discussed several concerns raised by Comm. Marsh, including the date the Parking Ordinance went into effect; a one-half cent sales tax for municipalities; garbage and water rates; property adjoining the Town Ballpark; license checks outside of Town by the Sheriff's Department; the progress of utility pole change-outs and the re-conductoring project and the possibility of funding such change-outs in the coming year as discussed on March 8; and a "rain" or stormwater tax. The Board also discussed placing development of a Master Recreation Plan in the Capital Improvement Program, litter problems in Town, and unpaved State roads in Town.
Comm. DeWolf then said that he would like for the Board to address residential density in B-3. The Town Administrator said that he understood the Planning Board had agreed at its previous meeting not to make a recommendation at the present time. The Board discussed this matter at length.
MOVED BY COMM. ROSS, SECONDED BY COMM. DEWOLF, AND UNANIMOUSLY CARRIED TO ASK THE TOWN ADMINISTRATOR TO DRAFT AN AMENDMENT OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE LIMITING SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DENSITY TO TWO PER ACRE IN THE B-3 ZONING DISTRICT, AND TO PLACE DISCUSSION OF THE DRAFT ON THE AGENDA OF THE NEXT MEETING.
III. MOVED BY COMM. PATTERSON, SECONDED BY COMM. ROSS, AND UNANIMOUSLY CARRIED TO ADJOURN.
