The Board of Commissioners generally meet on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 7pm at the Highlands Community Building located at 869 North Fourth Street. Work Sessions are scheduled for 6pm, on an as needed basis. The Mayor and Board serve four-year "staggered terms;" that is, the Mayor and two Commissioners are elected in 2025, and three Commissioners are elected in 2027, etc.
