The Town of Highlands is currently looking to hire a full-time Aquatics Manager
This position is responsible for the operation and administration of the aquatic facility, including daily operation, maintenance and staffing of the Town-operated aquatics center. Reporting to the Park and Recreation Director.
Manages and supervises the aquatics program area in the Recreation Department; plans, implements, and supervises a wide variety of year-round aquatics recreational opportunities for people of all ages and abilities; oversees scheduling of program activities and program publicity; evaluates overall aquatics program, identifying strengths and opportunities for improvement.
Inspects pool for safe and effective operation; tests and records chemical balances in the water, makes chemical adjustments as needed; maintains daily log of chemical readings; reports pool maintenance needs to supervisor.
Assists with applicant interviews; orients and trains new lifeguard staff.
Supervises lifeguard staff; schedules lifeguards to ensure adequate coverage during operating hours; ensures lifeguards perform duties in accordance with established safety regulations and policies; ensures lifeguards remain current on training and certifications; reviews employee timesheets.
Maintains cleanliness of the pool
Responds to patron concerns and questions; explains memberships and pool policies.
Oversees pool activities, supervising swimmers in the pool and on decks; applying first aid; enforcing rules and regulations; and responding to emergencies as necessary.

Applicants who meet the following minimum requirements or have comparable experience and/or education will be considered:
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; requires Certified Pool Operator(CPO) or the willingness to obtain this certification.
Possession of American Red Cross Lifeguarding which includes CPR/AED for Professional Resources and First Aid.
Full Time- 40 Hours Week, Monday - Friday Hours required 6 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Hiring Salary: $42,743.00 - $68,388.00
